In der juengeren Vergangenheit entwickelte der Betroffene jedoch im zunehmenden Masse eine Verlust der sozialen Handlungskompetenz, was zunaechst seinen Niedershclag in einer erheblichen Vernachlaessignung seines Wohnraumes fand, im Weiteren jedoch auch die eigene koerperliche Versorgung und den eigenen koerperlichen Status betraf.

Explanation:
This is a tricky one. As I've said in the discussion, I think "sozial" is used here so loosely that to translate it as "social" is misleading - what seems to have slipped is personal care and care of the home environment, which is "social" only in that it makes you a "normal" person, not in that it involves social interaction with other people. To me "deterioration in social behaviour" is wide of the mark, since that normally refers to how people behave in public (and "deterioration" might involve things like excess drinking, rudeness, noise, vandalism etc., which is not the point here). I don't think "everyday responsibilities" is quite right either, since "responsibilities" are often taken to be your duties towards dependents and family members, or the need to pay your bills and the like, which again isn't what is referred to here.
