Reference information:
The German job description is someone who works as part of a team in a hospital, providing the top-down care for a patient and coordinating with other specialists. The person can be either a psychiatrist (doctor) or a psychotherapist. I find it on Linguee as "relational therapist," as Wendy suggests, but the definition of that sort of therapist (which she also provides) is just not the same. It is not about relationships per se, although that could be part of it, but rather can involve coordination of different types of therapy. I have never heard of anything like this in an American psychiatric hospital. I'll look it up in my psych dictionary when I get home, later.
