German term or phrase: Gedankenductus
"Durch Ablenkung vergißt Herr X seine geistige Produktion, was zu einer hohen Streßbelastung führt, die den Gedankenductus zusätzlich blokiert"

Have also googled for "Gedankenduktus" but have found nothing definitive. I'm thinking "train of thought processes", but would appreciate your input. The text is from Switzerland.

Explanation:
Yes, he simply can't concentrated, gets distracted and can no longer focus on his thought structures at all - being fully overwhelmed by his emotional or physical state.

Explanation:
This is what sprang to mind (so obviously my Gedankenduktus is not blocked!), but I have to admit that most of the Google hits I found appear to be decidedly esoteric, hence the low Confidence Level...

Explanation:
To get accross the idea of 'ductus' as a conductor/passageway. Or perhaps something that links to the Latin element of 'ductus' - as something that is led or guided.
