German to English translations [PRO] Law/Patents - Real Estate / easements | | German term or phrase: Grunddienstbarkeiten und beschränkt persönliche Dienstbarkeiten | Is there a difference between 'Grunddienstbarkeiten' and 'Dienstbarkeiten'? Both translate as 'easements', but a clause in the contract for the sale of property I am working on says
Belastung des Grundstücks mit Grunddienstbarkeiten und beschränkt persönlichen Dienstbarkeiten, insbesondere betreffend Geh- und Fahrrechte, Leitungsrechte, Versorgungsanlagen und Baubeschränkungen, als grundbuchliche Eintragung oder Baulast.
Should I just translate these as easements and leave it at that.. or is there a better way?

| | land easements and personal licences {easements in gross} over land | Explanation: Both GD easements and bpD licences can be rights of way over land.
A licence to use a swimming pool in someone else's garden is - as an easement in gross/unattached and unappended - to the land - arguably a licence in Eng. land law, as I'm sure the asker is aware, but is non-assignable. By the same token, bpD is nicht übertragbar: § 1090 BGB/German Civil Code.
GD are governed by §§ 1018 ff. BGB

30 mins confidence: | Grunddienstbarkeiten und beschränkt persönlichen Dienstbarkeiten basic easements and restricted personal easements
Explanation: If there is a "Grund" in front of the word Dienstbarkeiten, I think it means "basic" and is distinguished from the phrase after that " beschränkt persönlichen Dienstbarkeiten" which could mean restricted personal easements.
