Law/Patents - Real Estate / Lease Agreement (Rental Contract)
German term or phrase: sauber geweißelt
final phrase in a lease contract, handwritten:

Das Apartment ist bei Einzug sauber geweißelt.

From the context, I'd say the apartment was simply cleaned spic and span. Is there a chance that
"geweißelt" may indicate painted white?

Interested in everyone's take on this.

Cheers & many kudos to you all.

agree  Horst Huber: For us Bavarians it means "properly whitewashed". "Sauber" means clean, but in Bavarian also "correct" and "proper".
