German term or phrase: zumindest
I am unsure of the force of zumindest in the last sentence. Does it mean that the author is glad that the Protestant Church has not adopted the Catholic rationale on stem cells?

Nun haben sich in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland aber nicht nur katholi­sche Bischöfe oder katholische Moraltheologen gegenüber embryonaler Stammzellforschung völlig abweisend geäußert, sondern ebenfalls einzelne Vertreter der evangelischen Ethik sowie insbesondere evangelische Kir­chenvertreter oder kirchliche Gremien.

Auf die Öffentlichkeit wirkte dies so, als ob evangelisch und katholisch zum Umgang mit frühembryonalem Leben deckungsgleich gedacht würde. Der frühere Vorsitzende des Rates der Evangelischen Kirche in Deutschland (EKD), Manfred Kock, hatte sogar gesagt, zwischen den Vorsitzenden der katholischen Bischofskonferenz und ihn passe hinsichtlich des Nein kein Blatt Papier. Jedoch ist darauf hinzuweisen, dass diejenigen evangelischen Stimmen, die an hES-Forschung Kritik übten, zumindest die katholischen Begründun­gen nicht übernommen haben.

I don't see the need to keep the term in your translation. It does not add anything to the meaning.
"However, it should be noted that .... does not share the Catholic rationale" or something along those lines
