German to English translations [PRO]
Marketing - Retail / Point-of-sale advertising
German term or phrase: Regalblende
I cannot give specific context, but I am dealing with a piece about point-of-sale advertising, according to which the "Regalblende" should be appealing to the customer. I have exhausted my usual sources, including dict.cc, LEO, my paper dictionaries, the ProZ glossaries - and a number of the Google entries given, most of which are far from helpful. My default option is "shelf face", but I was wondering if there was a directly equivalent, and rather better-sounding, term. Any help would, as ever, be greatly appreciated. :)

niche gift

Explanation:
Hard to say without a little more context and I know it is a different tack from shelf face but considering that it has to do with point of sale this might be appropriate...

disagree  sibsab: Could you explain how "niche gift" is related to Regalblende? Maybe I'm having a blackout

-> Complete error on my part. I was tired and for some reason thought of Regal as in 'regale' in Italian which means gift. This woulòd explain why the answer seemed so obvious to me when the asker had struggled for so long....how embarrassing.

shelf talker

Explanation:
This could be it as far as I can tell from the illustration. In any case, it "talks" to the customers and "works in standard retail shelf channels", see link
