"Die Autoren des vorliegenden Buches bringen Erfahrungen aus der kundeneigenen ABAP-Anwendungsentwicklung mit, von der ein lediglich der Sprache ABAP verhafteter Autor nur träumen kann."

My question here relates to "verhafteter Autor". I queried this "verhaftet" elsewhere and got an answer that it means "limited to" but I don't think that this is correct in this context. I think it perhaps relates more to an author whose sole specialization (perhaps?) is in ABAP language, nicht wahr?
