Die Voraussetzungen zur buchungstechnischen Erfassung der Materialien mittels SAP.

It's "buchungstechnische" that I'm a bit stumped by. I'm thinking along the lines of "the requirements for booking and recording the materials in SAP".

As is often the case, the German "technisch" is an overspecification and not necessary in English. The reference to SAP implies the "technische" use of an accounting system. So let the KISS principle apply

The requirements for posting/recording these materials using SAP. "booking" sounds like you are making a travel reservation to me, but maybe it works in British English. Posting or recording works in both variants.

If you really want to be redundant, then "posting and accounting for these materials"

I assume that this relates to the SAP CO module. The accounting entries for various cost centers is done through SAP

Asker: I'm not sure, but it's more likely to be the MM module (or Purchasing) as it is to do with goods receipt & incoming goods.

Asker: In Component FI-AA Asset Accounting, DE buchungstechnische Anforderungen = EN common accounting requirements. Is thatof any relevance?
