I'm not sure how to envisage a position of a lever that is higher than vertical. Surely "senkrecht stehen" is the highest it can go, the maximum before it starts going down again, isn't it?
the way I read it, "fast senkrecht" means, say, 75 degrees from horizontal. Therefore, if the lever is at 90 deg. or perhaps even a bit more, the Allen key needs to be turned clockwise, etc.
Sorry if I caused confusion, David. Waagrecht stehen isn't there of course. What I meant to say was that senkrecht. bzw. waagrecht stehen simply indicate wich direction the lever is pointing, whereas "Klemmposition" is the actual key word--it would indicate to me that that is the point at which the specimen is being clamped by the lever. Not having seen the gadget, though, I'm not sure I'm on the right track, especially since I'm not sure of the function of the Allen key.
that senkrecht stehen means that the lever is pointing in a vertical direction, Volkmar. Where does it mention "waagrecht stehen"? None of this has anything to do with the actual position of the lever though, as it is fixed to the unit and is only rotated to clamp or release specimens.
just means that the lever is pointing in a vertical direction, David. By the same token, "waagrecht stehen" means that the lever is pointing in the horizontal direction. Neither of them has anything to do with the actual position of the lever on the object being clamped.
