German term or phrase: Feingeräte
"Mikro- und Feingeräte" is a study discipline offered at the "Technische Universität Berlin". I know that "Mikrogeräte" are "microdevices" but any ideas would be appreciated on how to translate "Feingeräte".

On completion of the module, students should have a working knowledge of basic principles in mechanical design and an appreciation of a range of non-conventional manufacturing processes. Building on this, they will have gained an understanding of why precision instruments and mechanisms, metrology systems and micro-devices are made as they are. Most importantly, they should also have gained the confidence to use such knowledge to become more effective designers.
