Context:

"Bis die Datenbank vollständig ist, müssen noch viele Proben analysiert werden.
„Wir werden eine wesentlich verdichtete Datenbasis, wir werden eine erheblich vergrößerte Anzahl von Radiokarbondatierungen haben...“

On the one hand, I'm not 100% sure about "verdichtete Datenbasis", and then I would also prefer to avoid using "database" for both Datenbank and Datenbasis, especially with them being so close to each other. Any ideas?

Asker: I don't think it's a matter of them want it to wanting the data to take up as little space as possible, but of achieving a high "density of data" by filling the database with a lot of data.

IMO the idea is that the density of data points is increased in the database, rather than the database is "condensed" to use up less space.
Sorry, I don't know a handy alternative for "database", but I think I would not mind using "database" twice in a row.
