German term or phrase: Einschlagen von Blasen
"Blasentank zur Simulation brechender Wellen und Messung des blaseninduzierten Gasaustauschs
zwischen Atmosphäre und Meer. Das *Einschlagen von Blasen* durch brechende Wellen wird durch einen schräg auf die Wasseroberfläche gerichteten Wasserstrahl simuliert, der Blasen mit in die Tiefe reiß."

My first thought was "breaking/popping", but am having doubts - TIA for your assistance.
