agree  Nicholas Krivenko: TRAINING AND WORK PHASES would sound a bit better, don't you think? ;-) The WORK PHASE is part of the overall conditoning.

  -> Thanks. Oh yes, it does sound better, Nicholas. I know nothing about horse training, so I kept the CL low and tried to retain "phase of working" in the English rendering, thinking it to be a fixed expression in equestrian parlance, perhaps?
