on the level of the chain... Explanation: sounds more comfortable to me, although it destroys the criminal precision of the German. If you have described it as "chain-driven", anyway, this would be understandable. DO take some rest breaks, sometimes it helps to see things with more perspective. At any rate, this is what my translation bosses used to tell me whenever I felt I was beginning to suffer idioglossia. |

side with the chain Explanation: My reading of this is different. Point 2 is about, as you said, positioning the stator. The "eindeutige Ausrichtung" means, I think, chosing a specific orientation, whereby there are 2 possibilities, either the chamfer (Fase) or the chain side is placed up. The geometry is just like a die, whereby e.g. the 6 or the 1 could be placed up if you laid it on a table. You can say the chain plane, like rain in Spain, but it is not a question of putting something on top, it is a question of orienting the stator so that one or the other side is up. BW, Nancy |
