German term or phrase: Behandlungplatz
Text about a dental suction device that has been developed to cut corners. Sentence is: Die vs600 ist eine Kombinations-Saugeinheit die 2 Behandlungsplaetze gleichzeitig mit einer hohen Saugleistung versorgt. HTH Nick

English translation:I stand by my suggestion
Explanation:
I saw Star's suggestion above, and thought he may have hit on the right answer. So I did a bit more research and if you go to the web site quoted, you will actually see a photo of a 'Behandlunsplatz'(under one of the options along the top, I have now forgotten which one), which is indeed the chair plus the equipment. So, in conclusion, I still believe my suggestion to be correct.

'treatment place'

Explanation:
What is meant here is two separate places where treatment is performed. If you think of a dental practice where more than on dentist works, it means that one piece of equipment can provide the necessary sucking power to two of these dentists in the rooms where they are treating patients at the same time. Quite how you express this in good English is slightly up to you, and depends on the flow of the text. I don't think a very literal equivalent exists. Perhaps something like: ... provides sufficient sucking action for it to meet the needs of two practioners working independently at the same time.

chair

Explanation:
I think of dentists as having chairs rather than places, but the chairs are in different rooms so perhaps treatment rooms. Treatment place doesn't strike me as a collocation.

Point/ place of treatment

Explanation:
Dear Nick,
I just had a look at the other proposed translations, and I personnaly do not think that this device is meant to provide suction to two independantly working dentists, but to one dentist, who is performing work on just one person, but treating two different teeth at the same time.
I spent quite a bit of time at the dentist, and I am aware that he uses a suction device very close to a tooth while working on it.

Here is a proposed translation of the sentence:
The vs600 is a combined suction device, which provides a high suction capacity simultainiously to two different places/points of treatment.

I hope I havent confused the matter,
(if in doubt about the issue I brought up, why not ring a dentist and ask about those possibilities)

Regards,
A.S.
