The company I am working for in this case differentiates between Schlepphebel, which they call finger followers, and Kipphebel, which they refer to as rocker arms. Again, thanks for your input, which is always so helpful!

From your question, it's actually not clear what particular 'Hebel' is being referred to with 'Hebelabspring'. It could also be the Kipphebel (or Schwinghebel), which in English is a 'rocker arm'. Cam followers and rocker arms are functionally levers, but their English names do not incorporate 'lever'.
