See below Explanation: This is a rather historic example of a Sackstuhl (from a grist mill), but the idea is similar to those applied even today. Sie zermahlen nicht nur das Korn, sondern leiten das gemahlene bzw. geschrotete Korn auch mehr und mehr an die Außenseite der Steine und schließlich zu einer bestimmten Stelle der Öffnung hin, durch die es in die darunter befindliche Sackpfeife und aus dieser in dem auf dem Sackstuhl stehenden leeren Sack fällt.
