German term or phrase: Bügelschelle, Gegenwanne
This is from an assembly parts list for installing a control cabinet
15 Bügelschellen,
15 Gegenwanne
I know these have to do with fastening cables, and have seen pictures of them on German websites, but can't find the English equivalents.
Anybody know what they're called?
TIA, Beth

English translation:strap clamp, backing trough
Explanation:
At least, that what you'll get from the first reference. Personally, I can accept 'strap clamp', but particularly if what you have looks like the picture in the second ref, I would use 'backing plate' (neven mind that it's curved = 'Wanne')

Thanks, Ken, once again for your help. I decided to use cable clamp and backing plate. Since the parts list includes both the manufacturer and the ordering number, they should wind up with the correct part, even if my name for it is slightly different than the one the manufacturer uses. Still, I wanted to get at least close to it! Thanks again, Beth.
