German term or phrase: Schraubsicherung
unfortunately I have very little context - this is from a parts list:
"1 Schraubsicherung komplett 1polig 6A (Wöhner)
1 Schraubsicherung komplett 1polig 10A (Wöhner)"

Any help much appreciated. TIA, Beth

English translation:plug fuses
Explanation:
In the US these are called "plug fuses" and are used in the old fashioned fuse panels, before circuit breakers. The have standard Edison thread, just like standard light bulbs. Sicherung is always spelled "fuse" in the US and never fuze. In the UK it may be different.

Ref.: 50 years experience in the trade, Germany and USA.

Explanation:
Sollte es sich um eine Sicherung, die man einschraubt handeln wuerde ich diese Teil screw-in fuese nennen. Og.g. Worte stammen aus Woerterbuch d industriellen Technik.

D-type fuse-link

Explanation:
I am guessing that the context is electrical, especially considering Woehner is engaged in this sector, See: http://www.woehner.de/

Siemens Fachwb. Industrielle Elektrotechnik offers D-type fuse-link and screw-in fuse-link.

Good luck!!

Screw-in Fuse (or Fuze - american spelling)

Explanation:
From your context, I would translate it as:-
1 Screw-in Fuze complete, single pole, 6 Amp (Woehner)
and

1 Screw-in Fuze complete, single pole, 10 Amp (Woehner)

I assume that the fuses are made by the firm called Woehner, but I cannot be sure.

Regards, Iain.
