veroboard Explanation: It's true that a Lochrasterplatine is a type of breadboard, but 'breadboard' is probably too general (depending on your context). A Lochrasterplatine is a piece of circuit board material with a regular (square) matrix of holes, through which wires or component leads may be inserted. It may also have copper solder pads centered on the the holes, or copper strips aligned with the holes, on one side. The best known type is Veroboard. Although 'Vero' is a trademark, it is so widely used that it has almost become a generic name (like Kleenex).
