strut, wedge Explanation: You may be lucky enough to get a rail track engineer to anwser, but in the meantime my suggestions: a) Cornelsen's Tech WB lists 'strut' as one of the possible meansings of 'Spindel'. If you consider what is being described, it seems fairly clear that the rails have to be forced into the correct positions (as necessary) by using wedges and/or bars (struts) to shift them from their positions as placed. and hold them in positoin until the concrete has set This is common practice in many areas of mechanical fitting and machine fitting. |
