Results 11 - 20 of about 46,000. Search took 0.35 seconds {not all relevant, of course] e.g.: Red clause and green clause LC Webmaster Red clause letters of credit are relatively uncommon in Europe and North America, but are used occasionally in the Far East. (It appears that originally the special clauses on the LC were written in red ink, to draw attention to them!) A red clause LC has a clause that allows the beneficiary to make an initial drawing, on the condition that these funds are used for a purpose specified by the commercial agreement. Often this relates to payments made by the beneficiary to others for commodities or agricultural produce. Obviously the applicant will need to have some confidence in the beneficiary, who has the opportunity to divert the funds for other purposes, and/or simply fail to ship anything at all! A variation that may be worth considering is the GREEN CLAUSE letter of credit, which entitles the beneficiary to make a drawing upon presentation of a warehouse warrant in respect of goods deposited at a warehouse prior to despatch. A warehouse warrant is a title document, and may be negotiable in a similar manner to a bill of lading - so the applicant and bank have some security. Those of you who have TRADE FINANCE ADVISOR may want to look at the case study showing the use of green clause LCs, inspection certificates and warehouse warrants in a contract for the processing and sale of rice. color/colour tests/testing Explanation: I'm not so sure I agree with Tom - he seems to have assumed that someone misspelled "Klausel". I think that "Klausuren" simple means test/testing I dudn't get so many hits for on Google for '"color tests" automotive' but enough came up to imply that color testing is indeed part of the R & D process. i "Table 1. Specification for vehicle and flag colors 2. COLOR TESTS. Acceptable colors are those that meet the gloss rating test and either a visual or an instrumental color test.
