German term or phrase: Probenahmeschlauch
Eine optional eingebaute Pumpe springt automatisch an, wenn der Probenahmeschlauch auf den dafür vorgesehenen Adapter geschoben wird.
The text is talking about the features of a gas detection monitor. Any ideas on the above word?

English translation:sampling tube / sampling line
Explanation:
Probe = sample
Schlauch = tube, tubing hose.

The explanation given before is essentially correct.
Only one remark : hose is usually used for a relatively large diameter tubing. Unless the analytical instrument (gaz detection monitor) is consuming a large quantity of sample, which is doubtfull, the sample intake line should be a piece of 1/4 or 1/8 inch tubing (either stainless steel or plastic like pvc, ptfe, pet, etc...)
