switch drive Explanation: "Schalttrieb" seems to be a pretty obscure word. However, in cases like this, you can probably do worse than going with a literal translation. About the only thing "Trieb" on its own means in a technical context is "drive". "Schalt" as a prefix generally means "switch". Hence, "switch drive". There are plenty of search engine hits for "switch drive" (though not all of them refer to actual switch drives). But in this sort of context, I think it might be OK. However, someone with more technical expertise may know better, and that's cool. As long as the right answer is eventually found. But if no one else can come up with anything, I don't think you'll be too badly off with this. |
