I haven't seen a term like this before and am not positive as to what it refers to.

Thank you. I was wondering why on earth anyone would feel they needed to make this kind of a statement. Obviously we all write in upper and lower case.
So this answer was helpful. I thought I was totally missing something here, but apparently it means just what it says.

I'm really not sure either what is intended. Schreibweise is spelling. Groß/kleinbuchstabe is upper/lower case letter. It would be nice to have some more context.
