prevention, see below Explanation: I am assuming this is a typo and the word is Lecka*b*gesicher*t*heit (unless I am displaying embarrassing ignorance), the *sichert* indicating that it is secured or safeguarded against etc. Leak prevention or safeguarding against leaks are some options. |

see below Explanation: Leckage and Sicherheit are both words so I could easily believe that Leckagesicherheit is also a word. Leckage is the translation for leakage so I would write "Leakage prevention" or "Leakproofing" or "Prevention of leaks" but for some reason "Prevention of leakage" does not sound so good to me. |

Leakage safety Explanation: Unlike Anya, I do not think there is a typo in "Leckagesicherheit". It is the appropriate expression when you are talking about risks to health and equipment from leaking pipes and the measures taken in avoid these risks by, for example, providing some kind of guarding. This is not the same as "leak-proofing" the pipes, ie., preventing the leakage in the first place. HTH wolfgang |

leakage containment or leakage control Explanation: After reading Wolfgang's answer about leakage safety this evening, it finally began dawn on me what is going on in your translation. I'm a little slow. Besides that I missed a few emails from ProZ as usual. The leakage containment or control collars/components/tubing/shields around your (entire or just the leakage hazarded portions of the) piping system (such as the gage glasses, towns313, or inspection glasses, Mark Owens, or also sight glasses if they show how much liquid is in a container) are part of a leakage containment or control system. This leakage containment or control system is necessary because of A Gaunt's aggressive chemical corrodents. The collars or whatever are probably corrosion resistant in accordance with some standard. They have drain fittings every so often to get rid of the horrible gook if it should leak out of the piping system. The leakage containment or control components are so designed to function effectively with special/unusual/non-standard piping layouts/geometries as Chandu wrote. http://ops.dot.gov/cfr99/part193.htm - |

Ooops Explanation: That happens when you shooting off answers in a hurry. I didn't even *see* Leckage. Duly chastened. Anya |
