finish or complete Explanation: Another definition of ausspielen is to finish ("play to the end", "be done"), and it seems to me that it might fit a bit better into the context of control and instrumentation technology. The sentence you quote sounds to me as if some of the orders haven't been quite completed and will be equipped with what would appear to be a newer technology.
