and this site is from the European 3M, Tesa. I believe the correct translation for Trennfolie would be release liner or release film - foil is usually only the translation for Folie when it is made out of metal, such as aluminum (aluminium for you Brits) foil. When it is some sort if plastic it is normally film. - HTH - Dan
