English translation:depends on context
Explanation:
Titles are difficult to nail down unless you know a more about the levels within the company to which the titles are attached, and individual companies vary greatly. If a Produktionsbereich is understood as subordinate to Produktion, then the manager of that area of production would be subordinate to the (general) manager of production. Some companies, though, subdivide their companies into divisions. In that case the manager of such a division would be the superior, and production managers would fall within the category of middle management. For example, one manufacturing company that I work for breaks its operations down into production areas called segments, and refers to the managers of these areas as "Segment Managers." The next step up is the "Plant Manager," who is over the entire plant, and the head honcho over all production/manufacturing operations at all of their plants is called the "Executive Vice President of Manufacturing."
I don't mean to confuse, but I think you need more detailed information to make the best choice here.

As for Einsatzfreude, you might also consider dedication/enthusiasm

And I would definitely recommend:
Führungskraft = manager
Führungskräfte = managers/management

Of course, I have a US slant.

Good luck!

disagree  Sven Petersson: "production line manager" is just what the words say: manager of a production line = middle management.

agree  Ulrike Lieder (X): Produktionsbereich = branch of production (Schäfer); P.bereichsleiter would be subordinate to P.leiter
