Both of these answers were good. I must have had some kind of brain block - I should of realized that was what was meant!! I decided to use save in the first part of the sentence and stored in the second; i.e., the updated software was saved on EPROMs and is stored on the PG740 and on 2 disks in the Maintenance Department.

I had a quick look at Google, which comes up with more hits for 'stored on' than 'saved on', for some reason! There are also some hits for 'EPROMs', but 'EPROM' seems more common.
