Maybe partition, barrier plates Explanation: It is really hard to tell from the German, but I have a company glossary, which lists Schott as short for Schottplatte, which would then a partition(s) or barrier plate(s), but I am not 100% certain. Good luck!! |

bulkheads Explanation: I wish you were more specific. This term is used in ship and aircraft building. Ships: Transverse or fore and aft, vertical partition in a vessel. Aircraft:major transverse in fuselage hull or other axial structure. |

protective barrier shutters Explanation: Fire codes/regulations require protective barriers to be installed i.e. in cable (and other) ducts that connect floors with each other. This helps to prevent fires on one floor from spreading easily to another. In buildings that have been upgraded with a new IT (cabling) infrastructure, this is one of the most common omissions after the upgrades. To accomodate the need for occasional upgrades, in recent years protective shutters have been introduced which slide against the cables and thus leave only minimal space next to them. While this is not as tight a seal as can be achieved by tradional means, it still sufficiently minimizes the unused/free diameter of the duct to an acceptable minimum (basically the "pores" left between cable strands).
