German to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Telecom(munications)
German term or phrase: speisen
Aus "Technische Beschreibung der Analogen Wählanschlüsse am Telefonnetz/ISDN der xxx."

Zustandswerte am Analogen Netzabschluß

Belegungszustand.........:

*Speisen* (wie 4.2.2.2); [Wahl: s.u.]; Ansage (z.B. "Wir .....").
Die Verbindung wird selbsttätig vom
TelN/ISDN zu einem Notrufziel ( )
aufgebaut.
Bei "Ziel erkannt": Übergang in Zustand
4.2.2.4;
bei "Ziel besetzt" oder "Ziel nicht erkannt":
Übergang in Zustand 4.2.2.3.2."

NB Ich fand mehrere Uebersetzungen in Google+ den "Glossaries" von Proz, z.B "Feed" oder "Power", and beim Langenscheidt heisst es u.a. auch 'Supply'. - Ich bin jedoch unsicher welche von denen - wenn uberhaupt - richtig waeren.

Explanation:
'Speisen' As in 'Data Feed'.
Since this is in regard to the transmission of (analog) data, I would choose 'Feed' as the most appropriate translation.
See the example in the URL below.
