German to English translations [PRO] Textiles / Clothing / Fashion | | German term or phrase: Lamellen | mit Aluminium beschichtete Polyestergewebe für Gardinen, Rollos, Jalousien, Lamellen etc.
This is a list of fabrics manufactured by this company. I am thinking of using "Venetian blinds" for "Jalousien". I found "Lamelle" as a "slat blade" for "Jalousien" at http://www.onlinewoerterbuecher.de/index.php I assume that the Lamelle in this case must be another form of blind, though. Does anyone know the correct term? |

| Grading comment I went for Kim's suggestion in the end. I think they could well be vertical blinds, but as the hunter douglas site gives "louver size" for the width of the blind slats, I think "louvre" is probably the safest option, as it seems to refer either to the blinds or the individual slats, just like the German term. Thanks everyone, especially to Kim and JC, a very close second. 4 KudoZ points were awarded for this answer |
