another option for "Geruchsveredler" is "odor neutralizer" - a product that is applied after the source of a particular bad smell has been removed - these "odor neutralizers" can have a smell/aroma of their own but the smell is not supposed to be perceived as offensive -

this is a more general term for a product/ that gets rid of bad smell.

But for the context here, I think we are looking at a product that tries to add a smell/aroma = perfume.

better say - the smell of an odor neutralizer should not be perceived as very strong presence (of course it should never be offensive)

Duftmarketing
