Tech/Engineering - Textiles / Clothing / Fashion
German term or phrase: Schultersattel
This term occurs in a promotional text for a dressing gown and appears in the following context:

"Langer, leichter Morgenmantel aus hochwertigem, biologischem Baumwoll-Jersey mit einem kleinen *Schultersattel* im Vorderteil. Der Bindegürtel ist in der Seitennaht fixiert, sodass nichts verrutschen kann. Ein Wohlfühlstück, in dem man nicht nur gerne den Morgen verbringt."

Any help would be much appreciated.

epaulette
Explanation:
in the description of trenchcoats (with the same design) they are called epaulettes; however, depending whether they are indeed on the shoulders or a flap in the front as described in the German example is hard to say without picture.

sorry: after some reflection I would tend to say: yoke I hope that will work; sorry about the confusion (without illustration, it's a lot of guesswork)

agree  Melanie Nassar : I would have said "yoke" offhand, but as you say, without a picture...

Shoulder pad(s)

Explanation:
It is hard to know exactly what is being referred to without a picture, but as reference is made to it being a dressing gown, it would seem appropriate that it is shoulder pads.

I just can't imagine it being an epaulette if it’s a dressing gown, however it would be helpful if a picture was provided.
