I don't think any harm is done because you can't give any points yourself anyway, as you opted out of that. Nor will anyone be offended, but if you are worried you could contact one of the three Mods listed at the bottom of the page.

No, you're right - it doesn't look like it. I've only just noticed that myself and did not intend to do that. Sorry if I've upset anyone. Any advice as to how to cancel that would be greatly appreciated.

Perhaps as "best answer (is) to be selected by the community" the Asker's own preference will be overruled by the way "agrees" are given? I'm not very familiar with this way of doing things, but I don't think the Asker can "give the points to Anna" in this case.

I had forgotten there was a 24 hour rule and, in fact, it hasn't allowed me to do so. I'm happy for people to continue offering suggestions, but simply didn't want to waste their time. I was really looking for confirmation of a suspicion I had and have had very similar answers to Anna's (the first) suggestion from 3 external sources (I see there are now two on this page, as well).

I will keep looking and try to be fair, but due to a short deadline, I have already used a variation on the first answer in my piece.
