Can anyone please tell me what we would call an "Auswahlmenü" in English?

Can I say "5-course menu of choice"?

Or is there a better version?

table d'hote menu

Explanation:
A table d'hote menu offers a limited number of choices rather than being "set", but is less restricted than the à la carte menu. This type of menu is often served in hotels as part of their half-board packages

a 5-course choice menu sounds perhaps like the quality is meant. Whereas selection menu, or even entree option menu (although that sounds lumpy), is clear.

Michele Johnson: It may be correct, but I travel extensively (and eat) around the world and I've never heard this phrase. You'd never see it on a sign or hotel website in the US. I only know prix fixe.

Just to throw another one out there. As I have mentioned in other posts, I think that "set menu" and "menu table d'hote" are also correct and indicate the same thing. It is up to the asker to decide the appropriate register. See examples provided in references.

What I have seen thus far is far fetched. "Ein Auswahlmenue" refers to the choice of dishes served. A restaurant can for example offer a soup and a salad as an entrance. The guest has the choice. The same menu might offer beef, fowl, pork or a vegetarian dish as a main dish-guest can choose what they want. Do I want a sweet desert or cheese? The guest can choose! So Auswahlmenue in this case means that the guest has a choice of what he/she wants to eat. You can write "each evening we serve a 5 course menu with choices"
Note: In some menus there might be a * after it. This can and might refer to the fine print, in which this Auswahlmenue is explained.

The French tanslations-however correct they might be, are not a translation but a transposition. The askeer is seeking for an english term or phrase. Not everyone who can read and write;respectively can understand the french term.

Table d'hôte

Table d'hôte (English pronunciation: /ˌtɑːbəlˈdoʊt/) is a French loan phrase which literally means "host's table". It is used as restaurant terminology to indicate a menu where multi-course meals with only a few choices are charged, at a fixed total price. Such a menu may also be called prix fixe (English pronunciation: /ˌpriːˈfɪks/ "fixed price"). The terms 'set meal' and 'set menu' are reasonably common as well. This is because the menu is set, the cutlery on the table may also already be set for all of the courses. The term derives from the fact that such a meal resembles a meal served to guests at a home gathering, where the host has predetermined what the guests will be served.

Table d'hôte is meant to contrast with "À la carte", i.e. the usual menu operation of a restaurant, whereby customers may order any of the separately priced menu items available.
