German term or phrase: Anschlagplatz
Sind Anschlagplätze (für den Transport) gut zugänglich? (ohne das Maschinenkomponenten beschädigt werden)
Just talking about moving machinery here. The "Anschlag" part makes sense to me but with "Platz"? "Stopper positions"?

stropping places, areas ,points
Explanation:
are meant here. I worked in the crane construction industry, where the word "anschlagen - to strop" oder Anschlagseil or Anschlagpunkt is often used always meaning the stropping of goods by ropes (belts etc.) to lift them.

area around handling / contact points (for shipping)

Explanation:
The fact that 'frei zugaenglich' follows the term implies to me the idea that the free air surrounding whatever it is has to be a freely accessible three-dimensional area or 'zone' - and as during the process, as it states, no damage to machine components should be possible, ie there has to be enough room for manoeuvre, to me the obvious question arises: when would you need such spaces during transport/shipping? It occurs to me that we're not in fact talking about 'Anschlag' in the sense of the following:

... da sie beim Transport und Umschlag durch Beschädigung und Feuchtigkeit ...
sind geeignete Anschlag-, Umschlag- und Lastaufnahmemittel einzusetzen. ...
www.tis-gdv.de/tis/ware/maschinen/ schaltschr/schaltschraenke.htm

but rather an 'Anschlag' which would arise through contact with the likes of:

... All other lifting equipment, including cranes and loading equipment. ... All other process machinery whether fitted with guards or not will fall under ...
www.tyseruk.co.uk/eiins.html

during preparation for transport/shipping; the machinery has, after all, to be grasped and lifted into or onto some form of grate, box, platform, pallet or such like and I imagine this involving not necessarily gentle treatment with perhaps heavy-duty chains, hooks etc.

This is the only way I can join 'Anschlag' with 'Platz' in any meaningful connection in my mind.

(I had thought 'Platz' might be meant to mean 'Stelle'= 'place' (if it's German from a non-native speaker); even the possibility of 'Umschlagplatz' (as a typing error) occurred to me, but I'll go for the interpretation I offer.)

Explanation:
Usually such as lifting hooks or eyes, etc welded to the body or frame of whatever it is to be transported. Can normally also be used for anchoring heavy machinery with chains, ropes, straps etc., so it doesn't slide during transport.
