German to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Transport / Transportation / Shipping / GPS system
German term or phrase: Servicedienste
Well, this is a nice one: how do you translate Servicedienste? It appears in the following sentence:

Zieleingabe per GEO-Koordinate.
z.B. für Not- u. Servicedienste
relevant.

No other occurence of the word, no explanation either. Could be anything. The text itself is about a GPS system.

Any ideas are very welcome. Thanks.

Eventually decided for information services, as I assume that's what they mean. I played with the thought to use service providers but that emphasizes the providers not the services. Thanks everyone.

service providers

Explanation:
I think I'd turn it around and write "e.g. for service providers and emergency services", to avoid two "services" in three words.

for emergency and other services

Explanation:
this would seem to cover the problem of having "Service" translated as service and "Dienst" also as service...otherwise it would read emergency and service services!

sorry sarmb, was thinking about my answer and didn\'t see your response...a major problem with this system, while writing your own answer you cannot see the other answers.

Explanation:
although only in this case ...
i.e. emergency and (other) mobile service (providers)
Given the context, there would - hopefully - be no confusion with "mobile" in the sense of cell phone.
