General context: a list of keywords for a products & services directory, so no immediate context, but this 'explanation' is provided:

'Direktfahrten (Logistik): Der wesentliche Unterschied zwischen Express-diensten und Sonderfahrten ist die Tatsache, dass Sonderfahrten mit einer speziellen #SoFa Nummer# unterwegs sind, die Ihnen ein Durchkommen ohne Wartezeiten ermöglicht. Beispiel: Eine Expressfahrt müsste sich in eine vorhandene Abfertigungsschlange im Werk, am Zoll etc. auch hinten anstellen,wobei eine Sonderfahrt nur die #SoFa-Nummer# vorzuweisen braucht und passieren kann. Da dies verstärkt im Automobil # und Medizinbereich eingesetzt wird, ist es verständlich dass hier keine Wartezeiten entstehen dürfen, da sonst entweder die Fertigung still steht oder es um Leben und Tod geht.'

Aside from the fact that it's not clear to me whether 'Direktfahrten' is a synonym for Sonderfahrten or a collective designation for both Express- and Sonderfahrten, I don't know what the equivalent is in English. The term gets a reasonable number of google hits, even after the irrelevant ones are filtered out (such as direct flights), but most of them seem to be in keyword lists or service directories. It appears be one of those terms that nobody bothers to define because everyone who needs to know already knows what it means.

direct transport is the collective description of special as well as express transport (because both need direct transport just under different conditions - one difference is explained above: express e.g. has to queue at the customs whereas special does not). definitions of direct transport are easy to find via google.
