the way I read it is that a delivery is carried out when either

a) at the time when the receiving party either collects or delivers whatever they collect or deliver

b) at the time when the sender delivers good to the other party or collects goods from them

So, if you had companies A and B, A would hand over the goods when company B's van comes and delivers companies B products to A or when company A collects items from company B (as no one wants to drive "empty").
