I've found this term in the "Lexikon für Verpackungstechnik" (ISBN: 3-7785-2916-1 / Hüthig Verlag) and the following description:
Verpackung, welche von Hand ohne Werkzeug durch Zerstören des Packstoffs geöffnet werden kann. Dies kann durch speziell gestalteten Verschluss, wie eine Aufreißnaht oder durch in die Verpackung integrierte Offnungsmittel oder Sollbruchstellen erfolgen.

Hi,
sicherlich kann perforated (perforiert) auch verwendet werden, es sei denn, der Karton ist mit einem innenliegenden Kunsstoffband versehen, welches zum Aufreissen dient, somit ist keine Perforation vorhanden bzw. ersichtlich.
