Tech/Engineering - Transport / Transportation / Shipping / Securing cargo
German term or phrase: Laderaumbegrenzung
Context is a manual describing cargo securing measures.
For transport by road: Eine formschlüssige Verladung ist anzustreben. Freiräume zwischen den Laderaumbegrenzungen und dem Ladegut sind auszufüllen.

I understand it to mean that the gaps between the cargo and the ceiling/floor/walls of the truck should be filled so that the goods don't move around. Looking for an elegant way to describe this. Or is something else meant by Laderaumbegrenzung?

the walls of the cargo area
Explanation:
I really like Ruth's "boundary," but "walls of the cargo area" seems to appear most frequently in this context.

The filler material most likely will be used between the cargo and the walls of the cargo area (not so much between the cargo and the floor/ceiling), so I think it would be appropriate to go specific here, particularly since it involves safety issues.

Certainly not elegant, but I hope it helps.

Explanation:
Ich glaube, "boundary" wäre hier das richtige. "boundary" ist die "Randlinie um etwas herum".
