Explanation:
This is a really good one ... Geeez ... So, here's what I found: These guys (http://www.ulrich-rotte.de/angebot/bahntechnik_en.html#) sell Stirnkopfarbeitsbühnen (image: http://www.ulrich-rotte.de/images/640/P1010066a.jpg). Unfortunately, their website does not come in English ... A similar picture of an elevating work platform can be found at http://www.warehouseequipmentstore.com/p-91-manual-winch-ele... See also http://www.tru.ca/hsafety/workinglearningsafely/work/elevati... and http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_hb4984/is_200408/ai_n1... for term usage. Good luck ... ;-) Hope this helps!

Just for clarification - the "elevating or aerial or overhead" were to choose from, it wasn't meant as a complete term. Thanks to the guys, you have it a lot easier now, njbeckett!

tool head operating platform

Explanation:

I couldn't find any apt dictionary or web definition for Stirnkopf (one patent translated is as hammerhead, another as head forehead (sic), so the above is an attempt to circumvent the problem (and of course it might coincidentally be what was intended)

(train end) working platform

Explanation:
Cut it to its simplest, and you really don't need the "train end", because it goes on to say "Wagenfronten", which are no more then the "train ends", or ends of the carriages.
