Ich übersetze ein LOP-Liste für ein Stellwerk und frage mich, wofür "ME" steht.

Hier etwas Kontext:

(1)
"Warning text **ME** ist Projektsymbol.
Neues Anlagenelement **ME-Bedienung**, bei dem der Text der **ME-Bedienung** als Zustand eingetragen wird."

(2)
"**ME-Auslösung** auch mit F2-Taste.
Delete auch mit F4.
Alarm Acknowledge auch mit F3."

"Main engine" macht bei (1) Sinn, bei (2) passt es nicht gut zu "Auslösung".

Explanation:
I don't know what type of signal-box you are talking about, but at the end of the day, all points are operated as a mechanical action, regardless of what controls them. "Mechanical" is very definitely a possibility in THAT context, unless you are talking of a strictly electronic signal-box, with signals only and no points / switches. I would check with the customer; "ME" is rather sloppy use of the abbreviation if this is correct, hence the "low" CL...
