Notes to answerer
Asker: I use "dead end track" for "Stumpfgleis". May "Stumpfgleis" and "Blindgleis" be the same?

blind track

Explanation:
It is necessary that the two resistive lines of two tracks converging into a point be connected in such a way as to form a single resistive line while the terminal of the resistive line relative to the track which is to be disconnected from the shunting point (***blind track***) should be connected to a half circuit with a polarity dependent on the flow direction of the current in the line so as to block the way of any coming train.

The displacement of railway carriages on railway yards and along tracks in industrial areas, particularly along ***blind tracks***, can be carried out by means of conventional engines or shunting engines.
