IMO your ultimate recourse in this case is to mark the terms you are not sure of as 'uncertain' (in big red letters if need be) and explain the facts of life to your superiors and client.
We are not helped at all by the term's web scarcity - there's no hint of a definition, so I don't know what I'd do with it - much would depend on how well I knew my "Arbeitgeber"....but surely even he can see you can't work under that sort of handicap?

Asker: I notice the field has changed from Trains = Transportation to Transport / Transportation / Shipping / Locomotives (or else I made a mistake). It is in the context of Locomotives here.
Explanation: Another option, if the purpose is metering instead of injection (e.g. in a carburetor). I agree with David that you should ask the client for clarification (lists are usually a pain).
