German to English translations [PRO] Tech/Engineering - Transport / Transportation / Shipping / Locomotives
German term or phrase:Vorreibeblech
Is this something to do with fastening or reaming? One dict. gives Vorreiber and Vorreiberverschluss as fastener and fastener lock, and another gives vorreiben as rough-reaming as well as Vorreiber as various kinds of fastener, but none seem particularly applicable to locomotives. Or is it simply some kind of locking bolt or catch?
@Asker: thats what I have pointed out in my proposal and CL. However, one mights use this as a starting point for independent reseach, perhaps? Sorry for not delivering all.

Very many thanks. Sorry for the delay in closing the question!
Notes to answerer
Asker: Herzlichen Dank. Hier ist der Kontext allerdings Lokomotiven, nicht Seefahrt.
Asker: Sorry if my reply was ambiguous. What I wanted to point out/clarify was that the intended field was "Trains = Transportation *", which was automatically changed to "Transport / Transportation / Shipping / Locomotives".
