| | | bilateral or two-way connection | Explanation: In contrast to the word "Anschluss", "Korrespondenz" means that two trains
arrive at a station at rougly the same time and leave the station at a time
which enables passengers to change train A to train B as well as from train
B to train A. In other words, it is a bilateral or two way connection. An
"Anschluss" requires that passengers from train A catch train B, but not
vice versa.

Explanation: This is a guess, I will admit. All I can find for "Korrespondenz" is "correspondence" (I imagine that's been your problem too). So what I did was look up "correspondence" in my Roget's Thesaurus. One of the meanings of "correspondence" is "correlation". Looking under "correlation", I discovered "interchange" - a common rail expression. That may very well work in your context. It's the best I can do. I hope it's been of some help.
